The Best Bets in the Premier League for Saturday 13 April

There are five 3pm kick-offs on Saturday in the Premier League on Saturday and we bring you our best bet for each game:

Arsenal vs Norwich City

The Gunners have won six of their last seven Premier League matches, and being high in confidence as they aim to secure a Champions League spot next season, they should dispose of Norwich easily on home turf.  In their last three league matches, Arsenal have scored at least two goals and I would expect that trend to continue against the Canaries.

Aston Villa vs Fulham

This is a huge game for Aston Villa as they attempt to haul themselves out of relegation trouble, with home advantage likely to prove crucial for Paul Lambert’s side.  Villa will take heart from a great record over Fulham; they are undefeated in their last 11 matches against the Cottagers in all competitions.

Everton vs QPR

This is a massive game for both clubs with Everton chasing a Champions League spot, and QPR trying to work a miracle to avoid relegation.  Even if they can get an unlikely three points from this game, Rangers still look doomed though.  Boosted by the return of Fellaini and Pieenar, Everton should be too strong, and with the Toffees having been winning at both half-time and full-time in the last three home matches in the Premier League, that outcome looks ever possible in this one.

Reading vs Liverpool

Reading are another team who look consigned to Championship football next season, and Liverpool should win this game with relative ease.  Not only have Reading lost their last seven consecutive league matches, but goalscoring has proved a major problem for the Royals in recent weeks with just one goal scored in their last 270 minutes of football.  Liverpool disappointed last time out when drawing 0-0 with West Ham United at Anfield and this time I would expect a better Reds performance, starting with first-half goals.

Southampton vs West Ham United

Both sides lie in mid-table but are not yet safe from relegation so the respective managers are sure to put the emphasis on victory.  West Ham did manage a draw at Anfield last weekend, but finding the net on the road has been a problem for the Hammers all season; they have scored the fewest goals away from home of any Premier League side this season.  Southampton have been in good form of late, taking ten points from their last four games.  If Saints can get their noses in front then they should secure all three points.
