The Best Bets in the Premier League for Saturday 27 April

Four Premier League matches on Saturday kick-off at 3pm this week, and having looked in detail at each of the fixtures and the betting markets we bring you our best single bets:

Everton vs Fulham

A 1-0 defeat at Sunderland last weekend looks to have all but ended Everton’s hopes of a top-four finish this season.  However the Toffees are still well and truly in the hunt for a Europa League spot and should get three points at home to an out-of-form Fulham side with little to play for.  The expected home win is reflected in the short prices available to Everton backers, however David Moyes’ team have won their last three matches at Goodison without conceding and the win to nil again appeals as a much better value bet.

Best Bet:  Everton to win to nil – 29/20 with William Hill

Southampton vs West Brom

West Brom have been dismal on the road for most of this season, and are unlikely to get much away to a Southampton side who are looking to extend their unbeaten run to seven matches.  Given the form they are in, the price for a Saints win is too good to ignore.

Best Bet:  Southampton to win – 12/5 with Coral

Stoke vs Norwich

Stoke ended a dreadful run with 2-0 victory at Queens Park Rangers last weekend and manager Tony Pulis will hope that they can build on that with victory at The Britannia Stadium over fellow strugglers Norwich.  The Canaries lie just one point ahead of their opponents and know that they need to try and get something from the match as they continue to fend off the threat of relegation.  A low-scoring, cagey affair looks likely and I would not put anyone off backing under 2.5 goals, although the price is not all that attractive.  Instead, with both sides likely to be fearful of slipping up, I would recommend a punt on the draw.

Best Bet:  Draw – 23/10 with bet365

Wigan vs Tottenham

This is an intriguing fixture as Tottenham, who are chasing a top-four finish, take on a Wigan outfit desperate for points to climb out of the bottom three.  The Latics’ last three matches have been on the road and they have secured only one point from a possible nine, so no doubt Roberto Martinez will be glad to have his side return to home turf where they have won their last two league matches.  Since the turn of the year, Tottenham have lost only one league match on the road and will travel north in confident mood.  However, Wigan know they must get something from the match and I expect them to do so.  To include some insurance in your bet, back Wigan in the draw no bet market.

Best Bet:  Wigan (draw no bet) – 13/8 with Betfred
