The Championship 2014 – Golf Betting Tips & Preview
After a dominant Alexander Levy blew away the field in China last week, who will triumph in Singapore this week?
A shortened preview this week due to time constraints, so here is a very brief Synopsis and quick picks-
The 7,200 yard Laguna National course is familiar to some of the players who have been on tour a while and also some of the Asian tour players. I would suspect that the European tour players will have the edge in quality this week which will nullify any advantage the ‘local’ players have. I have selected players with hot current form and particularly those putting well as the greens seem to have some significant breaks in. Don’t be surprised if the event is shortened to 54 holes, standard weather in Singapore with thunderstorms and potential lightening expected to accompany the hot and humid conditions over the 4 days.

Disappointed I missed out on him last week, but with him still carrying a 50/1 price happy to back him to continue his fine form. The big friendly Frenchman does not let much phase him so I expect him to be able to perform back to back without putting too much pressure on himself; let’s face it – at 50/1 a place would do us nicely.
Adrian Otaegui – 100/1 EW Bet365 – Open a new Bet365 account and receive a 100% deposit bonus up to £200!
Fell away with a final round 76 last week in China but still finished Tied 19th, Finished 1st in overall putting for the week which should stand him in good stead for these tricky greens. He also finished 17th in total driving so should be hitting from the short grass plenty, the greens look larger than last week so if he hits enough GIR he should have a chance. Carries in 3 tops 20’s and 2 MC’s in his last 5 events, so likely to go one way or the other!
Paul Waring – 100/1 EW Coral – Open a new Coral account by clicking this link bet just £5 and get a free £20 bet!
Was 4 under after his first 9 holes in China last week and somehow managed to miss the cut, also had a WD in the event previous to that but an 8th and 21st place finish in the two events prior. The 29 year old Englishman has a solid improving all around game, so much so he ranks 13th in overall ranking on the European tour in the last 12 months, not bettered by many in this field. On that basis alone the 100/1 price looks to hold appealing EW value.
