Martin Kaymer @4/5 to beat Davis Love III

Kaymer has an excellent record at Sawgrass; despite the fact that his game has generally been off for the last 2 seasons he has form figures of 15-19-34-55 at Sawgrass in the last 4 years.  Davis Love III is another player with a good record at Sawgrass BUT importantly has only just returned from Neck Surgery and although has played well to make the cut; he may well get fatigued in rounds 3 and 4 and his lack of completion sharpness could well show.  Kaymer should win this match up by a couple of shots if he plays anything like he can.

Henrik Stenson @ 8/11 to beat Ryan Palmer

I do not like backing my outright selections in the match bets (I tipped Stenson outright pre tournament) but I am willing to break that rule here, Stenson has 5 top 25’s here (including a win) in the last 7 years – Palmer has 5 MC’s and no top 25’s in the same period!!   Stenson led the tour coming into the tournament in total driving and ball striking and is top 20 in this event in GIR and strokes gained putting, all that leads me to believe he will outplay Palmer today.
