Horse racing betting advice and predictions for an each-way accumulator on Saturday.
Saturday invariably offers the most competitive racing action of the week and today is no exception but I am hopeful we can bag a winner or two with a solid each-way accumulator.
Recently, i’ve come to the conclusion that William Haggas is the new master of getting his horses into handicaps with every chance and I am hoping his representative, GREGORIA (7/1 William Hill), a daughter of Holy Roman Emperor, is going the right way. It certainly looked that way when she ran away with her maiden where the 7f looked to be ideal and conditions will suit here.
Although WILLING FOE (6/1 bet365) has been off the track for some 455 days he is a class act at his best and it is interesting that the Godolphin operation have persevered with him at the age of seven. He loves this track and this trip, has good form on all sorts of ground, and goes well fresh. He undoubtedly represents a risky betting proposition after such a long off but, if he is fit enough to do himself justice, he comes here with every chance.
In my opinion, this year is one of the most competitive renewals of the Hungerford Stakes for a long time. However, now that the Hannon team have got PROFESSOR (9/2 Coral) back to his best, this four-year-old looks to have every chance. A winner last time out at Haydock on similar ground, that was more of a confidence booster than a sign of his real ability and, if that has worked the oracle, he ought to go very close again here.
1.50 – GREGORIA (NAP) (7/1 William Hill)
2.40 – WILLING FOE (6/1 bet365)
3.50 – PROFESSOR (9/2 Coral)
