I’ve put together my list of selections, and hope it will point you in the right direction for a good days punting.

Horse Racing Betting Tips For The Channel 4 Races

2.05 Ascot
VIRAK (NAP) (11/10 bet365) was a smart hurdler who has switched his attention to fences and already accumulated a hat-rick of victories. Although fairly disappointing in his latest outing in a Grade 1, I expect to him to bounce back to form in what is a much weaker contest.

2.20 Haydock
SEEYOUATMIDNIGHT (6/1 William Hill) showed himself to be a top class novice last year. With At Fishers Cross looking woefully out of form this season I am keen to oppose the favourite, and I believe Seeyouatmidnight represents the value in this contest.

2.40 Ascot
CAROLE’S DESTRIER (5/2 Betfred) looked a rejuvenated horse when finishing a very creditable 4th last time out at Cheltenham. He looks fairly unexposed, is potentially running of a lenient mark, and has all the ingredients to go close in this tricky contest.

2.55 Haydock
GAS LINE BOY (E/W) (10/1 Coral) looked a little rushed off his feet last time out in the Welsh Grand National, which meant he didn’t get into his usual rhythm. In what is a smaller field with less pace in the race, he could potentially be aloud to bowl along out in front, he is an out and out stayer whom I can see grinding his rivals into the ground and represents good value.

3.15 Ascot
PADGE (4/1 Betfred) was an expensive purchase for connections and has so far rewarded their judgement. In a field that looks vulnerable to an improver, I think he will take all the beating off what is a fantastic opening mark for his first time in a Handicap.

3.35 Wincanton
Connections have been bullish about a return to form for IRVING (6/4 Coral) and I think this looks the perfect contest for him to get his season back on track. If he shows the zest, pace and ability he showed last season I believe he will take all the beating.

3.50 Ascot
MA FILLEULE (4/1 William Hill) was very impressive when winning the Topham last April and looked like she had stepped up on her reappearance last time out. With 7lbs less to shoulder than her rivals thanks to her sex allowance, she looks the one to beat in Channel 4’s concluding race.
