Today’s Horse Racing Tips

Ayr Tips –

2.30 – Ayr– The Karl Burke team has a decent 23% record with their runners so in a tricky race we’ll take a chance on their DOC CHARM (e/w) (Bet at 11/2 with 888Sport) here. The horse is a past CD winner and rarely runs a bad race here at Ayr – has run here five times and only been out of the first two once.

BET NOW – DOC CHARM (e/w)

4.05 – Ayr – Mr Cool Cash is feared, but we’ll take that horse on with CAPTAIN WHOOSH (e/w) (Bet at 8/1 with Paddy Power). From the John Quinn team the horse is down in grade, but drops down the weights and it’s interesting that he’s also been upped to 7f.

BET NOW – CAPTAIN WHOOSH (e/w)

Newton Abbot Tips –

2.45 – Newton Abbot – John Ferguson’s Lilac Tree is respected, but we like NO WIN NO FEE (Bet at 9/2 with Betfred). Dr Richard Newland’s 5 year-old was a fair flat performer for Mick Appleby, while he’s debut hurdling second was a pleasing effort.

BET NOW – NO WIN NO FEE

3.45– Newton Abbot – A tight contest with six of the seven runners having some sort of a chance. Lava Lamp is the only CD winner in the field, but carries a 7lb penalty for a recent victory here. So we’ll take a chance on John Ferguson’s ITTIRAD (Bet at 5/2 with Skybet) continuing his winning run. The horse won well at Uttoxeter last time and despite being raised 7lbs the longer trip should help and so far this consistent hurdler has only been out of the top three once from 13 starts.

BET NOW – ITTIRAD

Southwell Tips –

7.10 – Southwell – A tough race, but the interesting one here could be Ed Walker’s SHOWBIRD (Bet at 12/1 with Skybet) . The horse is into handicap company for the first time on what looks a fair mark. She should also appreciate the step up in trip and the yard also do well at the track with a 43% record. Gary Moore’s Tax Reform is the next best.

BET NOW – SHOWBIRD (e/w)

7.40 – Southwell – MINISKIRT (Bet at 7/1 with Paddy Power) has won two of her three starts here at Southwell in impressive fashion and with a recent run having blown away a few cobwebs then Rae Guest’s charge is the e/w call here. This 4 year-old filly clearly likes the fibresand surface, while yard have a decent 25% record with their runners at the track.

BET NOW – MINISKIRT (e/w)

Windsor Tips –

6.30 – Windsor – The Richard Hannon team had done well in this race – winning it three times since 2007 so his FAST AND HOT (Bet at 9/2 with Ladbrokes) is the call. Yes, unraced but the yard often have their horses ready to go first time out and Richard Hughes riding is a further plus.

BET NOW – FAST AND HOT (e/w)

8.00 – Windsor – CHORAL FESTIVAL (Bet at 5/1 with 888Sport) likes it here and won this race in 2010. She’s not getting any younger at 9 years-old, but she won here a few weeks ago and off just 3lbs higher looks to have been given a good chance of going close again.

BET NOW – CHORAL FESTIVAL (e/w)
