Tottenham v Chelsea Match Preview and Football Betting Tips

North London is the scene for this capital derby match as Tottenham take on Chelsea in what should be an exciting encounter at White Hart Lane in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off.

Both these teams have started well, in particular Spurs, who sit second in the table following four wins and one loss in their five fixtures. Chelsea sit in fourth after taking ten points from their five games. Last weekend Spurs needed an injury time winner from Paulinho to see off Crystal Palace, while two second half goals were enough for Chelsea to beat Fulham at Stamford Bridge.

Tottenham’s new signings have appeared to settle in straight away, and in the absence of Gareth Bale, AVB’s side have been playing some great football having only conceded one league goal, which came in their defeat to arch rivals Arsenal at The Emirates.

Jose Mourinho however has admitted that his Chelsea side are a team in transition, and haven’t started as convincingly as many would have believed before the start of the season. Unexpected defeats to Everton and Basel recently have stalled what was a pretty good start from The Blues, but a win against their London neighbours would silence the doubters on Saturday.

Chelsea themselves have only conceded two league goals so far, which suggests it could well be a low scoring affair in North London. This is likely to be a tight affair, possibly with AVB getting one over on his ‘not so friendly’ compatriot Mourinho with Spurs sneaking the game by a single goal.
