Triumph Juvenile Hurdle Expert Betting Tips

Nicky Henderson has a strong hand for this race and his charge Peace And Co currently heads the market.  This son of Falco has been impressive on his two racecourse starts and definitely looks one for the future.  However, both of his efforts have come on a softer surface and you have to wonder if he will handle the better ground at Prestbury Park.

Top Notch is also trained by Henderson and is unbeaten on his three starts and that extra run could be vital in the closing stages of the race.  His recent win at Haydock Park was at a canter, barely getting out of third gear and he hopped over his hurdles with minimal fuss.  However, I question the strength of the opposition he has beaten and wonder if he will have the attitude to dig deep in the closer stages.

My selection is Henderson's final runner, HARGAM (7/1 Paddy Power).  This JP McManus owned gelding lost first time out at Cheltenham however the son of Sindaar soon avenged that loss when finding extra to beat Alan King's Karezak in fine fashion.  Following that effort, Hargam went to Musselborugh and won at a canter beating Donald McCain's Starchitect, who has since finished fourth in the Fred Winter.  He looks to be improving with every run and I suspect that he should give AP McCoy a good chance of success.

Beltor impressed when winning the Adonis Hurdle at Kempton last time out.  He was under a restrained ride from Tom O'Brien throughout the race and produced an electric turn of foot to leave the field for dead.  However, he looks a horse who will be much more suited to a flat track.

Willie Mullins has three in the race and the most interesting for me is Kalkir.  When he tanked up early in the season at Fairyhouse, many thought that the Irish champion trainer had yet another festival winner.  Since then, he has disappointed, finishing second twice at short prices.  However, owner Rich Ricci has stated there were genuine excuses for those efforts and he is in good nick to bounce back for a spin at this race.

Nicky Henderson looks set to dominate here and, of his trio, I like the look of HARGAM.  He looks to be a horse on the up and could take a lot of beating with AP McCoy in the saddle.
