Tuesday Night Treble 

 

Mouscron-Peruwelz v Charleroi – Both Teams to Score? Yes

The Belgian league has a few fixtures before Christmas with one tonight and another one tomorrow. It's generally reliable for backing goals and although Mouscron Peruwelz let everybody down with a 0-1 loss at home to Beveren, but it was Beveren's second clean sheet in three and the other was against in-form Standard Liege. Tonight's opponent Charleroi have been playing fairly open football resulting in goals and chances being created. Charleroi have scored in all but one of their matches since the 13th of September and you can add cup games into that run as well. They found a way past Oostende and put three past Gent, both of whom have a decent defensive record this season. They should have no problem finding a way past a side who have kept just two clean sheets all season, the joint worst in the Jupiler League. Mouscron have only failed to score twice since the end of August, one of them against Beveren and the other against Anderlecht, the best defence in the division. All of Charleroi's last five games have gone over 2.5 whilst the same has happened in three of Peruwelz's last five. 

 

Aberystwyth v Carmarthen – Over 2.5 goals 

We're off to the Welsh Premier League for this match as the hosts Aberystwyth welcome Carmarthen. The two sides sit very close in the table with just one place between them. The home side come here off the back of a thumping 4-0 win over Bangor City which followed on from a solid 1-1 draw with the in-form New Saints. Carmarthen have lost four of their last five matches but every single one of their matches has finished with three or more goals since the 6th October. They've conceded the most goals in the league with 38 being shipped in just 17 games. They've scored five goals in their last three matches though, so they aren't short of firepower themselves. This one should be a high scoring affair. 

 

Billericay v Grays Athletic – Billericay win 

It's an Essex derby as Billericay host Grays Athletic. Billericay have been in terrific form of late. They sit 3rd in the league table and have won their last three consecutvie matches. They haven't lost a match since the 20th of October and their last home defeat came 17 days before that. Recent wins here over Hendon and Bognor Regis will see them go into this tie with plenty of confidence. Grays haven't been bad this season, but they have just one win in their last five. That was a thumping win against Staines Town, but Staines have lost their last four consecutive matches and are dreadfully out of form. Before that, they last won on the road on the 8th September and although they don't have far to travel for this one, Billericay's fine home form should see them through here.
