Tuesday’s Horse Racing Tips
Another jam-packed day of horse racing action this Tuesday with afternoon flat fixtures at Bath and Beverly while Thirsk and Lingfield provide the evening racing cards.

Today’s Horse Racing Tips
Bath Tips –
2.35 – Bath – YOU'RE MY CRACKER (Bet at 5/1 with Paddy Power) has been second for the Daniel Kubler yard on both starts for them and seemed unlucky not to win over CD last time out. Takes on the older fillies for the first time, but on that last run expected to be bang-there.

3.10 – Bath – Some big yards on show here, but RATHAATH (Bet at 8/1 with Ladbrokes), from the Brian Meehan team, catches the eye. The yard boast an excellent 30% record with their runners here at Bath racecourse and she’s one of just two previous course and distance winners. She wasn’t beaten far last time despite coming 6th or 8 at Chester and did well that day considering her bad draw. The drop in trip will suit and she’s also a few pounds lower than her lat run this time.

Beverley Tips –
4.35 – Beverley – Trainers Ollie Pears (Naoise) and David O’Meara (Rousayan) are past winners of this race so their runners are respected, but the Mark Johnston yard are in flying form at the moment and also have a decent 25% record with their runners at Beverley. They run SUZI ICON (Bet at 13/2 with William Hill), who was third last time out at Wolverhampton. Yes, she was beaten a long way that day, but the drop back in trip is expected to suit, as is the return to the AW. It’s interesting connections sport the first-time hood too and she also gets a lot of weight from the others.

5.05 – Beverley – Tim Easterby’s RELIGHT MY FIRE (Bet at 9/1 with Bet365) took this race in 2013 and so it could be significant that connections targeted this race for him again. He a bit of a course specialist here with four of his 5 career victories coming at the track – all ridden my today’s pilot, David Allen.

Lingfield Tips –
5.50 – Lingfield – The market will be a good guide here with the Stoute (Swift Response) and Barry Hills (Midhmaar) runners respected – mainly due to those yards having good records at the track, However, Charlie Appleby’s HAWKBILL (Bet at 3/1 with Bet365) comes into the race with a bit more experience than most of these and a recent third at Kempton was another step in the right direction – under William Buick he’s expected to go close.

6.50 – Lingfield – CENSORIUS (Bet at 9/2 with Paddy Power) didn’t quite handle the Epsom track last time out but still did well to finish fourth. He’s dropped a pound for that run and is back on the AW, which is a plus. His record on the sand surfaces is 2 wins and 4 thirds from 9 outings. Trainer Lee Carter sports the first-time blinkers and Kieran Shoemark is a decent jockey booking that also claims 3lbs.

Thirsk Tips –
6.10 – Thirsk – Roger Varian has a 24% record with his runners at Thirsk and with the yard flying high at the moment then his ESTIKHRAAJ (Bet at 5/2 with Betfair) is the call here. Fifth on his first two starts – both on the AW – have been encouraging runs and this looks an easier race. The talented Shane Gray catches the eye in the saddle too for this apprentice race.

8.10 – Thirsk – It’s interesting that trainer William Haggas sends his SCENT OF THUNDER (Bet at 2/1 with Betfair) up to Thirsk here. The yard boast a decent 27% record with their runners at the track and are another stable in red-hot form at the moment. Yes, this horse was a beaten favourite last time out, but the drop back in trip looks to be a plus and with some fairly exposed sorts in the field then this 3 year-old filly is expected to get off the mark.
