After a winning and successsul start on the Round 1 3 ball tips (only paid out Evens, but a winning start is a winning start!) – here we go with with Round 2 and I am sticking by the same two players as yesterday . The reasons for my selections are just as for Round 1, BUT add to that the confidence both players will carry into round 2, after starting slowly in round 1 and turning there rounds around nicely.
Russell Henley – 10/11 to beat Larry Mize and Brian Gay.
Seems more than generous to me, Gay is too short for Augusta although his sharp sort game will be a help, Mize (who famously beat Norman back in 1987 with a chip in from well off the green on 11) is well past his prime and the course is too long for him. Henley, who has some course knowledge as an amateur and has a win under his belt this season should be far too strong for both.
Ryan Moore – 8/13 to beat Tom Watson and Kevin Streelman.
Gentleman Tom continues to amaze as he still manages to perform in the majors in his advancing years, with that said Moore has a solid record here and has finished in the top 35 in his last 2 starts here in 2010,2011. Streelman was a surprise winner earlier this season but missed the cut in his previous outing here in 2011 and Moore is once again likely too strong on a course he enjoys.
