Greece to beat South Korea Evens:
We will always remember the finale to the 2004 European championships, the underdogs came through and defeated Portugal to claim a place in international football history. Since then Greece have still impressed with the team they carry, before the world cup in 2010, Greece had only managed to qualify for one previous and had never scored a goal in the tournament. Some how, they managed to scrape through to the knock out stages in South Africa only to face Argentina who defeated the Greeks 2-0. The Greeks have now managed to qualify for the 2014 World cup in Brazil and they boast an impressive qualification campaign, they are currently unbeaten in eight qualification games, but South Korea will come as a good test before they travel to South America. Korea Republic as they are also known may have qualified too for a trip to Brazil but they have lost their last two games against fair matched opponents such as USA and Mexico. A long trip for South Korea tomorrow and the trip back to Asia could feel longer.
Bosnia-Herzegovina to beat Egypt 8/11:
For the second time in the countries history, Bosnia qualify for the World cup in Brazil, and faces were turned when Bosnia ended up coming 1st in their group, which consisted the likes of Greece, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia and Lichtenstein. Even though they maybe one of the smallest countries in Europe only holding a population of four million, the Bosnians only managed to lose one game in their qualification campaign. Towards the end of last year, Argentina defeated the Bosnians 2-0, but before that match up the white and blue shirts gained three straight wins. Egypt will now travel to Sarajevo in hope of disrupting the Bosnians preparations, and they come in fine form winning six of their last seven. However, Bosnia will be out in force and will be facing much stronger opposition when the samba season starts in summer.
Cape Verde Islands to beat Luxemburg 21/20:
The small island that sits 570 kilometres of the coast of Western Africa and holds a population of 500,000 citizens may not have such a small statue in football anymore. The small country is changing and the football team may have came under the global eye in the African nations as they reached the semi finals, only to be knocked out by one of the African giants, Ghana. Before Tunisia defeated the island team back in September 2013, Cape Verde islands went four games unbeaten, winning three of them. They will now travel Luxembourg to face a team that is still struggling with international football; their latest success arrived in September beating Northern Island against all odds, 3-2. Luxembourg currently sit in 120th position within the Fifa rankings, losing their last three games, conceding eleven goals. This match could simply become a boost for the confidence within the Western African island camp.
Wales to beat Iceland 21/20:
Wales will be hoping to put away memories of another dreadful qualification campaign behind them by defeating Iceland on Wednesday and making it four games unbeaten. The Wales team now seems rejuvenated with Gareth Bale leading as the colossus in the team line-up, an impressive 1-1 draw against world cup hopefuls, Belgium was gained in late 2013. Their opponents, Iceland, have faced a dip in form, losing their last two games against Croatia and Sweden. The Icelandic’s last tasted victory at home against Cyprus in 2013, but Iceland still failed to qualify for the World Cup. Both of these teams have ambitions of reaching a major tournament, but during this current climate, Wales have the strength in depth.
